Greenhand Conferences introduce first year FFA members to the benefits & opportunities in agricultural education, including Supervised Agricultural Experiences & FFA. This conference is for many members & acts as their first exposure to an FFA event above the chapter level. The program is hosted & designed by district officers to inspire & excite members to buy into agricultural education throughout their years in high school. The overall outcome of this conference is for students to get hooked on the opportunities available to them in the FFA. The "Greenhands" take an exam that tests for FFA knowledge & understanding. Congrats to NC's own Addie Haverkamp in placing 4th overall out of 503 Greenhands in the Northeast FFA District at the Greenhand Conference held Sept 15 in Silver Lake.
