The Nemaha Central Middle School Cross Country team headed to Jackson Heights ready to run on Tuesday, October 18. The NC squad had all of their runners present for the last meet since volleyball and football had ended. The other teams attending the meet were the NEK Nighthawks, Veritas, Cornerstone, Flint Hills, Troy, Doniphan West, Jefferson County North, Jackson Heights, Kickapoo Nation, and Riverside.
Korah Koch placed fifth out of fourteen in the 7th-grade girls division with a time of 16:57, while Ella Sourk placed tenth with a time of 18:37.
Rachel Nordhus placed third out of eight in the 8th-grade girls division with a time of 16:10.
Out of fourteen runners in the 8th-grade boys division, Brady Koch finished first with a time of 12:46, Colten Corby placed fourth with a time of 13:29, Carson Edelman placed tenth with a time of 14:58, Gus Rusche placed eleventh with a time of 15:29, and Aiden Streeter placed fourteen with a time of 19:23.
Gus Rusche said, “It was a good challenging run.”
