Fifth Grade Class Picture

The Nemaha Central Fifth Grade went on their field trip to the Omaha Zoo on Friday, October 7. The zoo is located in Omaha, Nebraska.

The fifth graders went on an exciting field trip to the Omaha Zoo. They had many adventures throughout the day that made the trip exciting. They loaded up at 8 am and headed to the zoo.  The students were filled with excitement and could not wait to arrive and start making their way through the zoo. The students had so much fun learning about the different habitats of some of the animals. The students had a great experience learning about all of the habitats in Africa.

The zoo really has been updating its exhibits and the students really enjoyed seeing them.  The students were very well-behaved and were very kind and respectful to the zookeepers. Students had so much fun in their groups led by some parent volunteers and the parents did an amazing job being leaders. At lunchtime, students were able to purchase lunch or have the one they brought. After lunch, they walked around a while longer before they had to board the bus to head home.

Will Martin said, “I really liked the Kingdoms of the Night, the nocturnal area of the zoo!”

In conclusion, this field trip was very successful and all students, teachers, and parent volunteers made it back but were exhausted from the day’s events.

Aubrey Wood said, “It was fun to see the animals but it was cold.”
