The Nemaha Central seventh grade class hosted a health fair for first through sixth graders on Wednesday, May 11. The seventh-grade students taught various aspects of health to the younger grades. Some of those aspects include fitness components, healthy diets, and safety.
The seventh-grade students planned a presentation of their topic and also had an activity that went along with their topic. Some of the activities included exercising, riding tricycles, and playing games. The students set up the gym with backdrops of information and things needed for their activities. The younger students were broken up into smaller groups and rotated stations to learn as much as they could from the seventh-grade presenters.
“It was fun to get to create your own project and think of ideas to make kids like your project and pay attention,” said Carson Edelman, seventh grade.
“I had a lot of fun learning about health,” said Addison Heiman, second grade.
