On May 6, both Nemaha Central Elementary School third grade classes traveled to the Flint Hills Discovery Center for their end-of-the-year field trip. The students were excited and ready to spend the day out of school exploring the Discovery Center. First off, they had to ride the bus for about an hour to Manhattan.
Once the students arrived, they walked inside and were ready to explore. The Flint Hills Center is all about what happened in the Flint Hills back in the day and includes the history of the area. There were many spots to stop and look at cool antiques and learn everything about the famous hills. The students even got to experience a 4-G movie.
“It was very fun and we saw a bunch of cool things. We even saw a 4-G Movie!” said Avery Lueger.
“The movie was really cool,” said Grady Heiman.
