Rachel Nordhus from NC

The Nemaha Central Middle School Thunder cross country team traveled to Jackson Heights for their final meet of the season on Tuesday, October 19. NC had already run there earlier this season on September 13 and had expected to do better this time.

The middle school ran together in the 3200-meter race. Bob Langill, representing eighth grade, finished in 4th with a time of 14:30. There were several runners in seventh grade. Brady Koch placed 1st with a time of 13:12, Colten Corby placed 4th with a time of 14:44, Harry Langill placed 6th with a time of 15:25,  Gus Rusche finished in 7th with the time of 16:55, and Carson Edelman in 10th with the time of 17:41. The only girl runner for NC, Rachel Nordhus, placed 4th in the seventh-grade race with a time of 16:26. The Thunder runners did great for their last meet and showed high amounts of effort all season.

“The hardest part of the race would probably be when you're at the end and you have to run full speed to the finish line,” said Carson Edelman.

The only eighth-grader Bob Langill finished his last meet of middle school cross country and the seventh graders will be back next year to compete and hopefully improve their course times.
