NCMS Volleyball Competes Well with Jeff West

The Nemaha Central Middle School Volleyball teams set foot in the Nemaha Central High School gym ready to pick up some wins against Jeff West on Thursday, September 24.

No one could have predicted that NC’s Hallie Holthaus was the first to serve and she would serve 24 points in a row, leaving Jeff West with zero points in the first game. In the second game the Thunder won with another amazing score of 25-10. Finally, in the last game, the Thunder again dominated winning with a score of 15-6.

“The first game wasn’t much of a game, but it was fun to watch Hallie Holthaus serve 24 serves in a row,” said Addy Frye.

Next was the eighth grade B-team. They won their first game with a score of 25-14. In their next game they won, yet again, with a score of 25-10. Their last game was a bit tougher, but in the end, the Thunder hung on to win, 16-14.

On the seventh grade side, the A-team had a tough game with the Tigers and lost 7-25. Their second game went a bit better but the Thunder girls still lost, 16-25.  In their last game, they came out determined to do better and won with a score of 15-8.

The seventh grade B-team started off strong, winning their first game with a score of 25-14. In their second game, the Thunder again dominated with a score of 25-13. The NC girls let up a bit in their third game losing a close one with a score of 14-16.
