Nemaha Central Elementary and Middle School opened its doors again for the new school year on Thursday, August 20. Students and staff were more excited for this school year since the previous school year had an abrupt on-site ending back in March.
Students approached the building with their new shoes, backpacks, school supplies, and masks to help stop the spread of Covid 19. Students entered the building and waited for their temperature to be monitored. When given the green light, students moved on to find their classroom. Even though the classrooms were set up a little bit different, students eagerly entered their classroom ready to get the school year started. Desks were pushed apart and all facing the same direction, while extra furniture was removed. That’s okay, because the main objective is to have the students on-site learning in the classrooms.
At Nemaha Central, students, parents, school board members and staff members will work together to make this an awesome school year!
