The Nemaha Central kindergarten classes loaded the bus to go to the Topeka Zoo on Friday, March 28, 2025. The students were really excited to see all the animals and spend time with their friends, as well as to experience all the things the zoo had to offer.
Before going to the zoo, the students made special tie-dye shirts to wear. The students walked around the zoo and looked at the lions, giraffes, and elephants, among other animals. On the way back from the zoo, they stopped at Holton to play at the park and eat lunch. The students enjoyed this time to unwind from their entertaining day at the zoo.
“My favorite part was seeing the giraffes,” said Lane Kramer.
“I liked seeing all the animals. My favorite were the hippos,” said Zianna Feltner.
The kindergarten class returned home after their fun-filled adventure. No doubt that they will remember this fun learning opportunity.
