The Nemaha Central Scholars’ Bowl team traveled to Hiawatha for another night of competition on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
The eighth grade A-team got some challenging questions, but they ended up powering their way through them and ended with a record of 4-1. In the tournament play, they matched up with their teammates and defeated them to take third place. Overall, the eighth grade A-team competed really well and just fell short of making the championship round. The eighth grade B-team had the same questions in other rooms and ended with a record of 3-2. They tried their best and got fourth place after losing to their teammates, 8A.
Brecken Kramer said, “We got challenging questions, but as a team we tried our best which is all that matters.”
The seventh grade A-team had a challenging night and their record was 1-4. They ended up placing sixth in the tournament after pool play. The seventh grade B-team fared better than their teammates going 3-2 on the night. They worked really hard as a team and ended up in third place in the tournament.
Abbott Sullivan said, “We had a great meet, our team got third. I feel like we are really coming together for our league meet.”
Overall, the Nemaha Central Scholars’ Bowl teams competed well and tried their best. They worked together as a team and conquered some challenging questions.
