Nemaha Central schoolars Bowl against Silver Lake

On Monday, February 17, the Nemaha Central Scholars' Bowl team traveled to Silver Lake for their second meet of the season. The other school competitors were Silver Lake, Sabetha, and Rossville.

The eighth-grade A-team answered some tough questions to place second with a record of 3-2. The eighth-grade B-team had the same record as the A-team of 3-2, but they placed third at the meet.

“The questions were tough but we fought through it and tried to persevere through the tough competition,” said  Luke Ganstrom.

The seventh-grade A-team did not have very successful matches, but they tried hard. The team went 1-4 and finished in sixth place. The seventh grade B-team had a little more luck as they placed third with a 3-2 record.

“We had a good day, but at the of the day we went 3 and 2 and I am looking forward to more meets with a winning record,” said Heston Kramer.

At the end of the day, the scholar's bowl players knew they answered some tough questions and they look forward to competing again.
