The Nemha Central Middle School general music students attended a Big East League Vocal Clinic in St. Marys on Wednesday, February 5. The schools that participated in the choir event at St. Marys were Nemaha Central, St. Marys, Riley County, Holton, Perry, and Sabetha. The other league schools gathered at Silver Lake to prepare for their concert.
Students rehearsed a few songs, took a break, rehearsed some more, and then stopped for lunch. After lunch, they had their final rehearsal. The concert started at 1:30 and the mass choir sang “What a Wonderful World,” “Jambo,” “Climbing up the Mountain,” and “Music is Life."
“We sang pretty well and it was pretty fun,” said Evelyn Ba Coc.
