The Nemaha Central Middle School girls wrestling team traveled to Marysville on Tuesday, January 28, and had another great meet. The teams that attended the meet along with NC were Sabetha, Concordia, and Marysville.

The NC girls showed up ready to compete. In eighth grade at 141 pounds, Evelyn Ba Coc went 1-1, at 119 pounds, Khloe Crevier went 1-1, at 84 pounds, Jillian Koch went 0-2, at 94 pounds, Claire Sourk went 2-0, at 99 pounds, Cora Langill went 2-0, at 125 pounds,  Payson Rottinghaus went 1-1 and at  240 pounds, Emma Tangeman went 0-2.

“My teammates wrestled hard, and continued to win,” said Emma Tangeman.

Next, the seventh grade results were at 79 pounds Charlie Koch went 1-1, at 82 pounds Brooklyn Korber went 0-2, at 112 pounds Nikki Lambrecht went 0-3, and at 125 pounds, Ava Madrid went 1-2.

“It was fun, and my teammates did a great job!” said Brooklyn Korber.

These girls faced some tough opponents and worked through the challenges that were presented. The girls will continue to practice their moves for the next meet.
