Mason Clary wins against Holton opponent.

The Nemaha Central Middle School boys wrestling team traveled to Holton on Thursday, December 5, 2024, for their last meet before the Big East Tournament. The teams that attended the meet were Nemaha Central, Holton, and Silver Lake. 

The NC wrestlers were ready to face their opponents. In eighth grade, at 126 pounds, Jonathan Gordon went 3-0; at 127 pounds, Elvis Pop Cucul went 1-1; at 134 pounds, Mason Clary went 1-1; at 142 pounds, Tate Edelman went 3-0; and at 215 pounds, Kollin Wagner went 2-1.

For the seventh grade, first at 84 pounds, Rykeir Feldkamp went 1-2; then, at 93 pounds, Evan Bletscher went 1-2; next, at 135 pounds, Noah Keim went 2-1; finally, at 154 pounds, Bentin Deters went 0-2.

Elvis Pop Cucul said, “We all tried our best and we all had fun.”

Overall, the wrestlers did well and will continue to practice as they prepare for the Big East Tournament.
