The Nemaha Central Middle School boys wrestling team competed at Onaga on Thursday, November 14, 2024. The five teams at the meet were Nemaha Central, Atchison, Onaga, Perry, and Holton.

The eighth grade wrestlers were ready to bring home some more wins. In the 80-pound weight class, Tyson Beebe-Dishong went 0-3; in the 126-pound weight class, Jonathan Gordon went 4-1; in the 141-pound weight class, Tate Edelman went 1-4; and in the 215-pound weight class, Kollin Wagner went 2-2.

“It was fun and I enjoyed wrestling that day,” said Tyson Beebe-Dishong.

Next, for the seventh grade results, in the 96-pound weight class, Evan Bletscher went 2-3; in the 100-pound weight class, Rykeir Feldkamp went  3-0; and in the 150-pound weight class, Bentin Deters went 2-2.

Even though they faced some tough opponents, the boys worked through the challenges presented. They will practice more to improve their moves for the meets ahead.
