Many famous Kansans were walking the halls at Nemaha Central Elementary and Middle School on Wednesday, January 29. The fourth graders dressed as a famous Kansan and provided information about their person in honor of Kansas day.
The students have been working so hard on their presentations for almost all of January and they finally were able to share them with an audience. The students were all dressed up in their costumes to look like their famous Kansan. Some of the famous Kansans were Eric Stonestreet, Barry Sanders, Vivian Vance, and Janella Monae.
Keyla DeLosRios said, “For all of the long, hard work that we put into these, it was a blast!”
While the presentations took place in the hallway, parents, staff, and students could meet the Kansans and learn more about their role in Kansas history. The fourth grade really enjoyed doing this project and hope that you learned more about their famous Kansan.
“It was a very long day but was fun in the end,” said Dayson Hill!
