The Nemaha Central Middle School boys wrestling team visited Riverside on Tuesday, November 11, 2024. The NC team entered the meet confident and excited to hit the mats and get to wrestling.
The eighth grade wrestlers stretched and were ready to wrestle. In the 80-pound class, Tyson Beebe Dishong went 3-0; in the 126-pound class, Jonathan Gordon went 3-2; in the 141-pound class, Tate Edelman went 3-0; and in the 215-pound class, Kollin Wagner went 3-1.
Tate Edelman said, “Everyone wrestled very well and gave a good effort. Everyone did great at the meet.”
The seventh grade athletes only picked up one win at the meet but continued improving their skills. Evan Bletscher went 0-3 in the 96-pound class; Rykeir Feldkamp went 0-2 in the 100-pound class; and Bentin Deters went 1-2 in the 150-pound class.
The wrestlers at the meet were tough, but NC persevered through it and learned a few things to work on at the next practices.
