The Nemaha Central Middle School wrestling team traveled to Concordia on Saturday, November 16, 2024, for their season's second tournament. The teams that attended were South East Saline, Manhattan, Concordia, Marysville, Nemaha Central, and Clay Center.
The NC wrestlers were ready to face their opponents. In eighth grade at 80 pounds, Tyson Beebe-Dishong went 0-5; at 127 pounds, Jonathan Gordon went 0-3; at 141 pounds, Tate Edelman went 0-2; and finally, at 215 pounds, Kollin Wagner went 2-1.
Kollin Wagner said, “We all improved from our first meet.”
Now, for the seventh-graders, at 85 pounds, Rykeir Feldkamp went 1-1; at 95 pounds, Evan Bletscher went 1-4; and at 150 pounds, Bentin Deters went 0-2.
Overall the tournament was a good learning experience for the wrestling team. They have been working hard at practice and will continue to work on their moves before their next meet.
