The Nemaha Central Elementary and Middle School students were excited to celebrate Halloween on Thursday, October 31, 2024. The students dressed up in their favorite costumes and participated in many Halloween activities throughout the day.
The students were thrilled to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes and celebrate the holiday together. Some of the games the elementary students played were Bingo, Tic-Tac-Toe, bowling, cup stacking, relay races, and ring toss. Other students kept busy coloring and water painting Halloween pictures.
Griffin Hiltgen said, "His favorite part of Halloween was playing fun games and hanging out with his friends.
In the afternoon, the elementary teachers and their students paraded through the high school halls and the NCEMS gym so that other students and parents could see their amazing costumes. They also got a pouch of Little Bites chocolate chip muffins to eat during their classroom parties.
Morgan Sura said, "Her favorite part of the Halloween parade was going through the gym."
The middle school celebrated Halloween with a bake sale for the eighth grade class trip where middle school students and teachers could buy treats and drinks. The students also had fun watching movies in the afternoon.
Overall, the students enjoyed dressing up and celebrating Halloween with their classmates.
