Fifth grade class at the Omaha Zoo

The Nemaha Central fifth grade classes loaded the bus and started their field trip to the Omaha Zoo in Nebraska on Thursday, October 24. They were very excited and looking forward to arriving at the zoo.

The students started at the Nature Dome and observed the birds, exotic plants, and trees. After they visited the Nature Dome, they headed toward the cafeteria to eat lunch. Once they finished lunch, they rotated to several different exhibits. Next, the group went to the aquarium and walked through the fish tunnel, where they viewed sea creatures all around them.

Kason Bergman said, “The best part was the catfish.”

Hadley Reinecke said, “The best part was the rainforest in the Nature Dome.”

Once they were grouped back up, they headed to the bus and traveled back to Seneca. Overall it was a good field trip and the students had a lot of fun.
