The Nemaha Central Middle School cross country team competed at Spring Creek Golf Course in Seneca on Thursday, September 26. Only two of the cross country runners on the team competed at this meet due to other sporting events.
The girls had tough competition going up against 14 other eighth grade girls. Cora Langill placed first with a time of 13:10 and Claire Sourk placed fifth with a time of 16:02.
“I had a good race and was happy to be able to beat my time,” said Langill, eighth grade.
The girls enjoyed running at Spring Creek Golf Course since it was in their hometown. They hope to keep improving their times before the end of the season.
