The Nemaha Central Elementary and Middle School had their monthly Fab Family meeting on Friday, November 8. Students from kindergarten through 8th grade got together with their Fab Family which basically consists of a student from each class and an adult staff member.
At the November meeting, there were 3 activities planned. First each of the Fab Family members wrote a letter or drew and colored a picture for active US military service members, recruit graduates, or wounded hero and caregivers. After the letter or drawing, the family members played a game called “Roll a Turkey.” “Roll a Turkey” is a dice game, that when you roll, you draw a part, such as shoes, accessories, feathers, and a hat to your turkey according to what number you roll. Students were able to take their turkeys home when they were finished. Lastly, if time remained, the families could play charades with Thanksgiving words.
“It was very fun to see my Fab Family members again and play fun games too,'' said Reid McKee.
“It was great,'' said Deryk Rosenberger.
All in all, it was a great and amazing Fab Family meeting. This Fab Family meeting was also a lot of fun for the students.
