On Monday, October 23rd, the Nemaha Central Girls basketball team traveled to Jeff West. It was a tough competition but three out of the four teams came home with a win. Both eighth-grade teams continue to stay undefeated and although seventh-grade struggle to get a win, they still keep their heads high and play their hardest.
The eighth-grade A team struggled a little bit at the beginning, but it didn’t take long for them to pull far ahead and maintain the lead against the Tigers. They ended their game with a score of 21-9, defeating the Tigers. The eighth grade B team followed with another victory of 25-11.
“We played great defense and I hope we can continue our hard work for our next game,” said eighth grader Kennedy McKee.
The seventh grade A team played hard and continued to fight but unfortunately lost 10-32 against the Tigers. The seventh grade B team fought hard for the victory and continued to stay undefeated with a score of 9-7.
“We definitely have things to work on, but we tried really hard,” said seventh grader Olivia Hermesch.
Congrats to all the teams for trying their hardest and to the ones that came out with a win. Continue to work hard, do your best, and represent the NC Thunder name.
“It was a rough first quarter but then we got our offense going and got some points on the board,” said eighth grader Bailey Snyder.
