The Nemaha Central Elementary and Middle School held its annual math contest on Friday, April 28. The third through eighth grade students competed by filling out three tests. The tests were a number sense, geometry, and problem-solving test. All tests were done individually, except for the problem-solving test which was done in a group with fellow classmates. Placing in the math contest would let the students win an assortment of prizes.
Once the three tests were completed the students were mixed into groups with other grades for a STEM project to see if they could work together and stack cups using only a rubber band and string. The following is a list of the winners of the contest.
