On March 2, the Nemaha Central Elementary students celebrated Dr. Seuss Day. For those who do not know, Dr. Seuss is a famous children's writer. He has written famous books like The Cat in the Hat, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish and many more.
Students could wear pajamas and also bring in blankets and stuffed animals for a dollar. This was a fundraiser for Mr. Jesse Helm and his newborn twin daughters. The students also did many fun activities to celebrate Dr. Seuss Day. Students created artwork, read books, and watched movies.
Jensen Weaver said, “ We made Thing One and Thing Two art projects and read. It was fun."
Morgan Sura said, “We read and wore our pajamas.”
In the end, the students had a fun day celebrating this extraordinary author.
